Ford is a longtime supporter of EAA, the Experimental Aircraft Association. The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is a growing and diverse organization of members with a wide range of aviation interests and backgrounds. Founded in 1953 by a group of individuals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who were interested in building their own airplanes, EAA expanded its mission of growing participation in aviation to include antiques, classics, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters, and contemporary manufactured aircraft. Membership in EAA enables you to share the spirit of aviation with the most passionate community of recreational pilots, builders, and restorers. EAA is the only association that offers the fun and camaraderie of participating in the flying, building, and restoring of recreational aircraft with the most passionate community of aviation enthusiasts. Every Year EAA created in 1992 the Young Eagles program, which gives the opportunity to children from 8 to 17 years old to enjoy the experience of a flight.More than 1.9 million Young Eagles have enjoyed a flight from EAA’s network of volunteer pilots. For many, it was the start of their journey to becoming a pilot, aircraft mechanic, air traffic controller, or many other career possibilities. The Mustang has become a supporter of this association in 2008. From that year, every year a new one-of-a-kind model has been developed. 2008 Mustang AV8R (based on a 2009 version model) The Mustang AV8R has been the first Build #1 of 1 and a collector’s dream vehicle dedicated to EAA. The AV8R has a 4.6L 24-valve V8 supercharged engine capable 400 hp, a Ford Racing Handling Pack featuring dampers, lowering springs, anti-roll bar kit and strut tower brace; and a Ford Racing tuned exhaust. The AV8R features a unique “satin finish” aviation inspired paint with a black gloss treatment; a new glass roof canopy, provided by Webasto Roof Systems, available on 2009 Ford Mustang models, but with unique Star-in-Circle insignia laminate glass; unique graphic treatment, special front and rear fascias, an AV8R faux gas cap, plus a Mustang Bullitt grill, shift knob and prototype aluminum appliques. The combination of paint and the open-sky canopy in the AV8R invokes the spirit of aircraft, with an aviation inspired interior that includes distressed “Bomber Jacket” leather inserts and trim panels. The Mustang AV8R features autographs from aviation legends and celebrities attending EAA AirVenture, which include Harrison Ford, Edsel B. Ford II, Jack Roush, Carroll Shelby and others. 2009 AV-X10 “Dearborn Doll” (Based on a 2010 Model) The Mustang AV-X10 “Dearborn Doll” is Build #1 of 1 and will be a collector’s dream vehicle. The AV-X10 is based on a 2010 Mustang GT with the glass roof option. This Car features directly from Ford Racing: Supercharger, Handling Pack(1 inch lowering), tuned exhaust, and exhaust tips help generate 550 hp from the aluminum block 4.6L 24-valve engine. AV-X10’s stunning design theme includes exclusive Satin Silver exterior paint with yellow nose cone and rear wing, 19″ Shelby GT500 wheels in liquid silver with yellow propeller tips, and white gloss accents emphasizes the connection with the famous P-51 Mustang aircraft from WWII fame and other aircraft from this era. The “Dearborn Doll” nickname is displayed on the front quarter panels using pin-up graphics to enhance the authentic connection to the WWII era fighter planes. The all-glass roof includes a unique Air Force Star and Bar graphic treatment. It has been sold for 400.000 $. 2012 Tuskegee P-51 (Based on a 2013 Model) The Ford “Red Tails” Mustang celebrates and commemorates the contributions of the Tuskegee Airmen, comprised of the 332nd Fighter Group and the 477th Bombardment Group, during World War II. This courageous collection of pilots was the United States’ first African American military airmen. Known for the red tails of their planes, the Tuskegee Airmen saw combat in more than 1,500 missions in World War II. This one-of-a-kind car is secured under VIN 00051 in honor of the P-51 Mustang planes flown by the Tuskegee Airmen. The exterior: Special alluminium non-finished paint, with Raced Red and School bus Yellow accents and a rear quarter thas looks exactly the tail of a P-51 fighter plane, with the logos and markings of the United States Army Air Corps, 332nd Fighter Group and Squadrons. The Car interior has two Recaro seats include the embroidered “Red Tails” logo, red inserts, custom seat belts, and floor mats embroidered with the 332nd Fighter Group logo. It Has Been sold for 370.000 $ 2013 USAF Thunderbirds Edition (Based on a 2014 Model) This year’s unique USAF Thunderbirds Ford Mustang, VIN 0001 for 2014, celebrates and commemorates the 60th anniversary of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. The exterior remembers us a Thunderbirds F-16 Falcon Aircrafts, from the color to the painted decals and logos. The unique treatment includes wide body modifications and a handcrafted and painted “belly pan” that emulates the F-16 Thunderbird appearance. TS Designs handcrafted the wide body elements, 3dCarbon created a unique matching fascia, Creations n’ Chrome crafted the unique belly pan, and Forgiato created a custom set of 22-inch wheels. What truly sets the Thunderbirds Mustang apart from the rest is a custom aluminum belly pan that you could see only when you lift the car, with a hand painted Thunderbirds F-16A Fighting Falcon logo, fabricated by Creations n’ Chrome. It has been sold for 398.000 $. 2014 F-35 Lighting II Edition(based on a 2015 model) The unique 2015 F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang draws design cues from the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II aircraft, the new joint forces strike fighter. The aircraft is the world’s most advanced multi-role fighter jet. The exterior will showcase a customized glossy and matte titanium paint scheme with distinctive accents inspired by the blue and yellow lightning tail livery applied to the early production examples of the F-35. The bubble canopy of the stealthy F-35 features a distinctive gold tint designed to help minimize its radar signature – an appearance that is replicated on the windows of this Mustang. For what concerns the performance side: The springs come directly from Eibach, for a lower ride height and the exhaust system gets larger, ceramic-coated outlets. This Mustang has a fantastic set of four Forgiato-created custom 21” wheels. Additional elements included: a carbon fiber front splitter,a rear diffuser and rocker moldings, unique mirror skull caps and a vertically-enhanced rear spoiler. No supercharged has been installed this time. This engine is a stock Ford Mustang Gt 2015 engine. Exclusive interior details include a modified instrument cluster, Recaro® seats, custom audio system and floor mats embroidered with F-35 Lightning II elements and unique sill plates. It has been sold for 200.000 $. 2015 Apollo Edition (based on a 2015 model) Created to celebrate the Apollo Space program, This unique Mustang draws its design cues from NASA’s iconic Saturn V rockets that launched 24 astronauts to the moon between 1968 and 1972. A Special two tone paint, white and black, gloss and matte, with painted Apollo decals, 21” wheels from Forgiato, a front and rear spoiler, a rear diffuser directly from the Ford Racing Catalog, The car has esclusive interiors,:Recaro seats with embroided the Apollo logo, Carbon fiber accents, new instrument cluster, exclusive sill door plates.
