NAIAS 2016 – MY MUSTANG FORD

LUCK, That’s when preparation and opportunity meet

From a chemical point of view, the combination of three elements could be catastrophic; We discovered that could be the same when you mix traffic, snow and being late to One of the most important car shows of the World. If you add that the Parking lots Are so rare during the show, you will have a Catastrophic Mixture.

Luckily we found an available Parking spot inside Joe Louis Arena. We entered in the COBO Center during the presentation of Chevrolet( nothing funny to see, sorry guys!). We had just the time of a coffee, than We moved inside the Joe Louis Arena to see Ford Motor Company preview. We expected to see a performance vehicle, and the new Raptor partially satisfied our Expectations; I said partially because we were wondering to see a new Mustang…someone said GT500 or MACH-1? The greatest news they introduced the FordPass, an unbeliavable application for all the tablets and mobile phones, that will be available for download in April this year. We have a dedicated article on mustangmania that describes it very well.

After a quick lunch inside Ford Stand, We had a look of all the exhibition. We were impressed from the new car of Henry Fisker(unfortunately unveiled completely the day After) and from the presence of One of he most Famous Italian brand: Brembo, that attended this year for the first time.

I have seen Bill Ford only in TV shows and magazines. I tought was the most difficult person to speak with in the planet, like Obama of the Pope. I understood that was my lucky day when One of Mr. Ford bodyguard, with a Fantastic Mustang Pin on the jacket, gave me the chance to speak for 5 seconds with the secretary: “ I saw your name and logo”, she said “ You Are lucky: Mr. Ford loves mustang. I can give you 2 minutes and 2 questions, After this interview down here or upstairs, near the GT350R, at 2:30 PM”. What we chosen was quite obvious. Mr Ford appeared around 2:33 P.M. “ i know Who you Are guys, you Are doing a great job! Congrats!” I admit i was shoked after this sentence, but i had to do an interview. 2 questions and 2 minutes and almost 4 minutes after, he disappeared in a massive group of journalists and photographers. We have done it. We have been the first Italian magazine that has ever spoke with Mr. Ford. We were very excited After this interview. We sent pictures everywhere, from relatives to all our social media pages. We phoned all our friends, and, As far as i remember, Matteo had a couple of cigarettes to calm down,too.

We were walking in the main hall,still confused, when we met our buddies from Ford Performance, Trent and Nick. After a while, John Clor enjoyed us. Some food, a couple of drinks and We saw Lego presentation.Walking around at dinner time gave us the chance to met Henry Ford III: 2 Fords in One day. More than expected, for sure. We took the car pretty much when the Parking lot was closing. After 15 minutes driving on a icy road We reached the hotel, conscious of having had a day that was more than expected.
