A Journey Through Time and Passion

I’ve never been a fan of late departures. My friend Nicola, on the other hand, when it comes to arriving late, is a world champion.

The sun was rising as the deep roar of the V8 engine of my 2007 Ford Mustang Roush Stage 1 convertible echoed through the quiet neighborhood. It was the beginning of a journey I had dreamed of for a long time, one that would take me, along with my brotherly friend Nicola, to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.

With the suitcases packed in the trunk and sunglasses on, we set off early to tackle the long road to Le Mans. Our Mustang, with its 4.6-liter engine, delivered a power that could be felt down to the bones. Every manual shift was a mechanical dance, an intimate dialogue between man and machine. The French highways seemed tailor-made to let that powerful V8 roar as we immersed ourselves in the breathtaking countryside scenery.

This year was special: the Ford Mustang was returning to the track after an absence of more than half a century. In 1967, Claude De Bois had tried to make history with a Shelby GT350, but fate had other plans. Now, the Proton team was ready to bring the legend back to the circuit with three teams, and we couldn’t miss this historic event.

On the Road with a Legend

Traveling with a 17-year-old 2007 Ford Mustang Roush Stage 1 Convertible is a special experience. The number of people who greet you with their headlights, turn signals, thumbs up, or hand waves is incredible. It shows how much this car is in the imagination and dreams of so many generations.

Nicola and I talked about everything: our past adventures, legendary races, and, of course, the Mustangs we would see in action. Every kilometer traveled was a step closer to what we knew would be an unforgettable experience.

From the first stops at service areas, the curiosity generated was enormous. The plan was clear: drive the first 10 hours straight to get as close to the racetrack as possible. On Friday, thanks to the help of the Mustang Club de France, we would enter the Ford Performance Hospitality to meet an old acquaintance: Aaron Shelby, and have a chat with him.

Upon arriving at the small town where the Bed and Breakfast was located, we were greeted with a wonderful surprise: we were the only guests and had a heated indoor pool at our disposal. Dining with a poolside delivery was a wonderful consequence.

Arrival in Le Mans

Friday 06/14/2024

We arrived under a cloudy sky in the town of Le Mans. The atmosphere was electric. The city was alive and breathing the race. The streets were decorated with flags, the restaurants were full of enthusiastic fans discussing animatedly, and the roar of engines was a constant soundtrack.

We parked our Mustang near the circuit, at the Airbnb we had booked (which turned out to be catastrophic in both general conditions and cleanliness) and headed towards the racetrack entrance on the electric scooter we had brought with us.

After the customary photo, we entered one of the temples of world motorsport. The excitement was palpable, but we had an appointment at the Ford Performance Hospitality. For the 60th anniversary, even the hospitality area was themed. The welcome from the Ford staff was fantastic. Seeing Aaron Shelby again always feels like meeting an old friend.

The next step was visiting the Ford stand in the Manufacturers Village. The guest of honor: the Ford Mustang GTD. An incredible vehicle, which looks even more spectacular in person. After some photos and videos, we headed inside the racetrack for a walk and a visit to the Pit Lane. The GT3 cars in person are monstrously beautiful.

The journey from the racetrack to the city center for the driver parade turned out to be more complicated than expected. The rain (which would accompany us for the following days), combined with the traffic and the crowd of people, made us arrive when the parade had already started.

After dinner, we returned to the terrible rented house, aware that the next day we would see, for the first time, the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans live.

The Mustang’s Return to the Track

Saturday 06/15/2024

330,000 people present, rain, cold wind, uncovered stands: the perfect recipe to test even the most resilient spirits.

The warm-up lap not only warmed up the cars but also our hearts. The spectacle of the start, with special forces descending from the helicopter with the flag, and the French aerial team drawing the colors of the French flag, was another significant emotional load.

When the long-awaited moment finally arrived, my heart was pounding. Seeing the Ford Mustangs of Team Proton racing on the track was a dream come true. The roar of the engines, the unmistakable profile of the cars, and the tension of the competition were a perfect mix of adrenaline and nostalgia.

After hours of relentless rain and wind, as night fell, Nicola and I decided we had had enough for Saturday. Exhausted, we headed back to the rented house. The cold, fatigue, and the kilometers walked inside the racetrack made us stay at home watching the race on TV for a few more hours before sleeping.

Unfortunately, we missed the fireworks and the concert, which started a few hours after we had fallen into the arms of Morpheus.

The Race and the Finale

The rain. During the night, it caused several incidents on the track, and a one-hour safety car (never seen in years of 24h of Le Mans) was a disturbing factor, off and on, for almost the whole day.

My hometown, Piacenza, in Emilia-Romagna, is famous only for some cured meats and for a very special team that races in various competitions: A.F. Corse. A.F. stands for Amato Ferrari, a Piacentino driver who raced for years in endurance races and, in 2002, founded the eponymous team. Already winner of the 24h of Le Mans in its centenary in 2023, this year they repeated, finishing first and third.

The Proton team had prepared some extraordinary Mustangs, and the debut was phenomenal. At the end of the race, the Mustangs, which placed third, fourth, and seventeenth, achieved an exceptional result for such a long-awaited return. The pride and passion in the air were tangible, and Nicola and I couldn’t stop talking about the exploits of our favorites.

We had won as Italians, and our Ford Mustang had given us an unexpected result. After watching the victory lap, the awards ceremony, and recovering the last gadgets and our luggage from the rented house, we immediately hit the road, heading back to Italy under increasingly heavy rain, of course.

A Return Full of Emotions

The return journey, under a torrential downpour, was a continuous review of the race’s highlights. Every acceleration of our Mustang seemed an echo of the competition we had just witnessed. We stopped at a small bistro along the way for a coffee, and as the sky began to clear, showing a pale sunset, we reflected on what we had just experienced.

Stopping to sleep exhausted near Lyon, we decided to cover the remaining kilometers the next day, all at once.

An Indissoluble Bond

The trip to Le Mans was not just a celebration of the Mustangs and their glorious history, but also a moment to strengthen the friendship with Nicola: work and personal commitments, children, and distance sometimes work against the time that can be dedicated to friends.

Every curve of the road and every roar of the engine reminded us why we loved those cars and that world so much. It was more than just a race; it was a testament to the bond between man and machine, a bond made of passion, dedication, and shared dreams.

With the wind in our hair and hearts full of emotions, we returned home knowing we had experienced something unique. The Mustang had made its triumphant return to Le Mans, and we were there to see it. And as I parked my Roush Stage 1 in the garage, dirty just like a car that had just finished the 24 hours, I knew that trip would remain etched in our hearts forever.

Endurance and Classics at Spa: A Dive into the Past Between Engines and Legend

Last weekend, I had the honor of participating in the 6 Hours of Endurance for classic cars at Spa Francorchamps, one of the most anticipated events for vintage car enthusiasts. The journey began early on Friday morning, departing from Bergamo airport with Luxembourg as the destination. Once landed, a taxi took me directly to Ettelbruck, to the Paul Wengler Ford Store, where a true four-wheeled gem awaited me: a 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse Steeda Q767.

The Dream on Four Wheels: Mustang Steeda Q767

The Mustang I was given for the weekend was not just a standard vehicle. The Steeda team, known for its customizations, transformed the Q767 into a road-racing car. Among the main modifications were an upgraded suspension kit for better grip and precision in corners, enhanced brakes to withstand high temperatures, and a sports exhaust system emitting a deep roar. All this on a car that, despite its 4,000 kilometers on the odometer, seemed brand new.

With this beast under the hood, the drive through the hills of Luxembourg to Belgium was an unforgettable experience. The winding roads, the lush landscape, and the unmistakable roar of the V8 made the journey thrilling, promising an even more epic weekend ahead.

Spa Francorchamps: Asphalt Legend

Spa Francorchamps needs no introduction. Built in 1921, this Belgian circuit is one of the most iconic tracks in the world, known for its breathtaking curves and unpredictable weather conditions. Famous for the fearsome Eau Rouge, one of the most technical and spectacular corners, Spa is considered one of the most challenging and fascinating circuits by drivers worldwide.

Upon arriving at the track, we were warmly welcomed by our friend Donny Wagner, PR Manager of the Luxembourg Mustang Club. Despite the impending qualifiers and the race ahead, Donny gave us a tour of the paddock, a true paradise for engine enthusiasts. On display were original Ford GT40s, historic Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, and even Formula Junior cars. An impressive assortment of European and American vehicles, all strictly vintage.

Meeting the Legend: Jim Farley’s GT40

Among the various pits we visited, one in particular left us speechless: Jim Farley’s, the CEO of Ford. Although he wasn’t present at that moment, his incredible Ford GT40 number 98 stood proudly, ready for the race. It was an honor to admire such a legendary car up close, a symbol of Ford’s great victories at Le Mans in the 1960s.

On Friday evening, the weather reminded us that at Spa, the sun can quickly give way to rain. After a day full of excitement, we left the racetrack and headed to our hotel, ready for another intense day.

Saturday: Guests of Honor at the Mustang Gathering

Saturday morning, we woke up at dawn for a special event: we were the guests of honor at the Luxembourg Mustang Club gathering in the Eau Rouge area. The welcome was warm, and within minutes we were joined by Jim Farley himself! He gave us a brief exclusive interview, sharing his passion for racing and classic cars, before retreating to prepare for the race.

The atmosphere in the pit lane, as the classic racing cars lined up for the start, was electric. Hearing the engines roar, smelling the gasoline, and watching these historic cars speed by was like stepping back in time by 60 years.

An Epic Race and Incessant Rain

During the race, we witnessed daring overtakes, crashes, and moments of pure adrenaline. Donny and his team earned a well-deserved second place in their class, while Jim Farley triumphed in his with the GT40 number 98.

The torrential rain that accompanied the race’s end left us soaked but satisfied. Despite the adverse weather, the weekend was a unique experience, a mix of history, passion, and old-time racing. As we left Spa under the downpour, we promised to return next year, maybe for a summer race!

A special thanks to Donny Wagner, who welcomed us like old friends, and to Paul Wengler for the magnificent Mustang that made our weekend even more memorable.

I was used to write “Mustangmania Invades…” and then the name of the country, but nowadays this seems not appropriate.

I visited Dubai for the first time few years ago; the passion for all kind of cars here is Absolutely insane: From Lamborghinis to Ferraris, going through all the German and American cars, you can find easily what you want.

UAE is a country that is Able to mix different culture and religions, making them leaving togheter in peace and in a respectful way.

I contacted Mustang club of UAE before i landed in Dubai. During my business trips around the world i really love to meet Mustang People like me; For a Globetrotter, feeling less alone, meeting people with your same passions, is priceless. The world become extremely small, and you have friends like you basically everywhere.

The club, founded in 2005, is one of the Biggest in UAE, with more than 1.000 subscribers, from 50 different natonality, and they organize more than 20 events a year. pretty impressive, nothing to say about that.

I was pretty Impressed, Because I received a reply in ITALIAN, believe it or not.

Why in the world that was possible? the answer was pretty easy.

After several years there, in 1991 He and his fmily went back to Iraq.

Ehab explaned me how he felt in love with the mustangs: “I was back Baghdad,just from one year. I saw a white car, with a horse on it, a lovely convertible. I asked to the other kids: ‘is it a ferrari?’ ‘No, it is a Mustang!’. The car was a foxbody, convertible, with red interiors. That was the day i felt in love with the mustangs”.

Today, several mustang ownerships later, he drives a Lovely Shelby GT500 from 2012.

We decided to meet for a beer at Irish village, the last day before my departure back to Italy.

Ehab and a new Mustang club of UAE member, picked me up from the Hotel, around 8PM. I was pretty impressed: a Shelby gt500 and a Ferrari FF came there, for me and my friend. UAU.

ENjoying the sound of the Shelby on the passenger seat is absolutely stunning( yes, i went on the shelby, and my friend was the passenger on the Ferrari FF).

We took a shortcut, but we saw that A gentlemen parked a car side by side with another, and we were stuck. We decided to smootly pass the car on the left side, but the impredictable happened:

The Police Nissan Patrol that stopped us

A police SUV, coming  literally from nowhere, stopped us. We suppose to wait that the car in no parking position moved, instead of passing them. Pretty strange rule: if we were in italy, we just passing a guy like this, probably shouting and insulting him.

We explained the situation with the officers, that let us go away after few minutes.

I never saw a traditional Irish village nowhere, except in Ireland and Dubai. A Nice location, that is a replica of an old Irish village, with live music, a small internal lake, and nice food.

Few mustangs were already waiting for us.  The cool thing of being a mustang guy is that we are almost the same everywhere in the world: we modify our cars constantly, collect unuseful mustang stuff and have mustang in our top 3 argument of conversation.

We were 4 different nationalities, a girl (by the way, the club has a really big “pink” share, compared to many other clubs worldwide, were the percentage of women mustang owners is pretty low), talking like we are friends from forever. I think this is the super power of this car: people with different incomes, nationality and culture totally in love with a car. If politicians will be able to be inclusive at least a half of what Mustang does, probably there will be zero wars in the modern era.

Dubai market, as many other markets outisde us, receives a lot of total loss mustangs, that are fixed and sold as low mileage used cars.

I was used to this issue in Europe, but i discover talking to club people around the planet that is more dfficult to find a “Clean Carfax” car then a Total loss, fixed sometimes in a perfect way, sometimes in a terrifing way.

After some more chat and few beers, we drove back to the hotel.

I left Dubai with the promise to come back, and with few more Mustang friends.

When merging become a good idea

fordmuscle.com, a true authority in USA for what concerns all the Ford Mustang News, released today a full review of the new Ford Mustang 2021 Mach 1 , that will replace the BULITT in the performance segnment worldwide.

Yes, WORLDWIDE. Because the car will be exported in almost all country of the world, exactly as the Bullitt. Means also right-hand drive versions, of course.

We had to Be extremely honest: after being hitted in the face with the “MACH-E”, we have some doubts about the release of this car.

The 50th anniversary of the Mach 1, celebrated the 6th of July 2019, supposed to be the best date to introduce the Mach 1 to the public view. Anyhow ford decided to launch the Mach-E, instead.

But seems the need of a new Performance Model that replace the Bullitt and the online petitions versus the Mach-E, have shaken something in Ford Marketing people. 17 years after the SN95 edition, the MACH 1 s ready for the Take off!

But How they create this beauty?

Merging a mustang GT with a Shelby GT350. The test field of this combination has been the Bullitt, that got a lot of parts from the Shelby: intake manifold, throttle body, cold air intake, magnetic suspensions.

The result has been absolutely brilliant (we are reviewing Ford Italy BULLITT 2020 press car, and it has been amazing since now), and now Ford is Bringing back another Myth, to push the Mustang Legacy in the new era.

The Mach 1

The Car has a dedicated front fascia, wheels, stripes, emblems, valance, splitter that help you to easily recognize that is more than a “regular” Mustang.

Colours Available

a 10 color set will be available, including Iconic Silver, Shadow Black, Oxford White, Velocity Blue, Twister Orange, Race Red, and Grabber Yellow, Fighter jet Gray ( available only on the “racing oriented” Mach1, with the appearance package)

Stripes Colors

only 3 colors available:Red, White, and Orange, the latter of which is only available on the optional Appearance Package that includes its own Mach 1-exclusive color, the apropos Fighter Jet Gray.

 

INTERIOR

Mach 1 stock interiors

Inside, upgrades are headlined by the new Dark Spindrift instrument panel with aluminum accents along with dedicated doorsill plates, an updated splash screen in the LCD cluster, and a dash badge engraved with the chassis number. On leather interior cars, the Ebony seats wear a heritage-inspired accent stripe, while manual-transmission Mach 1s will have the same cue-ball shifter as the Bullitt.

 

MACH 1 with recaro seats

The Handling package should also come with the recaro seats, but, with this retrò looking feeling, we will choose the standard ones.

 

PERFORMANCE

The car is capable of 487 cv at 7,000 rpm, and 570 Nm of torque at 4,600 rpm as standard version.

For the Export(EU) we have to consider 456 cv and 529 Nm, due to European road taxes and emission standards.

Which is the improvement, compared to the Bullitt, then?

The engine oil cooler, that raises cooling capacity by an extra 50% is Combined with engine oil and transmission oil heat exchangers from the Shelby GT500 ,with a rear differential cooler and lower diffuser, also scored from the Shelby, this car is ready for intense track days.

THE HANDLING PACKAGE

For all the customers that wants to have more performance, Ford Engineers created the handling package. this package, with the dicated front fascia and the rear gurney flap, guarantees a 22%  more downforce than a Mustang GT, fitted with the Performance Pack Level 1 option.

Moreover, the package (available only for the 6 speed manual transmission) includes 19×10.5 inches in front and 19×11 inches  spider net wheels, with a black finishing.

The Ford Mustang Love story between Romy and Michael

Like many Mustang enthusiasts, I spend a lot of time on websites like ebay, craiglists, etc.( also on their European Equivalents).

This summer, a friend of mine, that owns a roush sport, was looking for a set of bigger front brakes. Used ones, decent condition, possibly original Roush, 4 piston calipers. I Started the research, and after 3 weeks, i stepped in this roush calipers and rotors set, used, from Germany. I got in touch with this Girl , Romy Zavelberg, and i purchased the brakes. I cannot imagine which story there was behind this brakes.

I can’t ever Imagine that i will be able to be on the passenger seat of her drift car, with one of my best buddies seated in another drift Mustang, owned by her husband, Michael Zavelberg, at Essen auto show 2018.

But let’s proceed with order.

Romy and Michael grew up in two small cities in Germany.

Both always liked cars: Petrolheads since young age.

Michael is an Electrical Engineer, and Romy is a Graphic designer.

 “We met at a car event. He had his grabber orange Pony. And as the organizer of the meeting, he decided to park our ponys next to each other. we come into conversation. That’s how our love began.” Romy said.

MustangMania: “So who asked the other for a date?”

Micha: “it was a long process, but ended up well.”

Romy: “But I have to say, that he was the one that didn’t give up on contacting me –  I’ve been still in a relationship when we first met.”

MustangMania: “ In which car you went out for your first date?”

Micha: “Both. We had a cruise togheter to the restaurant .”

Romy: “Yeah Both – we used to make ‘ride-outs’ with both cars, it was pretty cool to cruise along together”

MustangMania: “ When and why you bought your first Mustang?”

Micha: “In 2011. first it should be an Focus ST, i searched for about 2 month. One evening i searched for Mustangs, next day i went to see one, and i bought it. Man, this car infect you for life! “

Romy: “Our passion for drifting started about 5 years ago. For me it was with friends that used japanese cars for drifting. That time I already had and loved my mustang. So I decided to learn drifting with the it. I talked to Florian Franz from Drift.de at the Essen Motorshow and together with Michael we started to train in Weilerswist with Driftfieber.de and also in Aldenhoven with Drift.de “

Micha: We both know that the mustang isn’t an easy driftcar. It’s to heavy, has nearly no angle and you have to modify sooo much! Much more than any other car. But we love the Mustang, the History and the whole feeling that comes with this cars. So we accepted the challange to make driftcars out of our “street mustangs”

MustangMania: “ How Many mustangs you had since your passion started?”

Micha: “ This is the 4th Mustang i have. I started with a V6 convertible, than a 2005 GT V8 grabber Orange; After a car crash, i bought a 2013 Mustang GT grabber Blue, and than i sold it. With the money i bought a 2005 GT and built a Drift car out of it.”

Romy: “ I always had only this  2007 V8 GT Supercharged Roush Edition that gradually became a driftcar. “Together we later started our “Driftlife” and in 2016 we moved from euskirchen to the eifel – near the nurburgring and 2018 well – we got married… 🙂 “

MustangMania: “ From how Long you are togheter,now ?”

Micha: Togheter since 2013. Engaged Since 23/07/2017. We got Married the 23/06/2018

MustangMania: “ Do you Compete in any drift League?”

Micha: ” In the Nürburgring Drift Cub Club Class & Some other Side Events.”

Romy: “ In the Nürburgring Driftcup – but I more love to do Drift show and Drift taxi.”

After this interview, they jumped in their drift car, ready for their couple drift show at Essen Motor Show.

Love always take strange paths.

Stories of love and mustang were very common in USA, but extremely rare worldwide!

The ” Mustang Club of France” was born in September 1984.
Actually it counts 458 members distributed on the whole French soil and also from neighboring countries, as Switzerland and Belgium.
We are present at the French biggest classic cars salons, next week we will atttend the ” Retromobile” in Paris, Reims and Avignon in March, Le Mans in April, Rouen in September and Lion in November.
We regularly organize meetings in the hugest part of French regions, and many of them usually last over several days.

The ” Mustang Day”,  this year reaches the 26th edition, and the tradition is to change location every year. For what concerns 2017 it takes place on the 1st of May at the ”Nevers Magny Cours” circuit.

Essere la moglie di un mustangaro….beh che dire … non ti stanchi mai…

Avere un marito mustangaro è un voto, una promessa, un sodalizio, una volta scelto non torni più indietro, la vita dei raduni diciamo che non è delle più semplici e comode in assoluto , questa passione li porta a farti svegliare ad ore indegne della mattina e tornare ad ore indegne la notte per poi svegliarti ed andare a lavorare con due trolley medi sotto gli occhi (altro che le care e vecchie borse!) però tutto questo peregrinare e zingarare da anche grandi enormi soddisfazioni…

 Partiamo dai difetti, i pregi li mettiamo dopo che se no “il mustangaro” si monta la testa”…

Beh ti devi preparare a levatacce la domenica, inverno o estate che sia, quando in realtà potresti startene bellamente spataciata sul tuo magnifico letto che ti abbraccia e ti avvolge come solo lui sa fare….

Devi essere pronta a dover stare in piedi in un piazzale, in un autodromo, in un aeroporto dismesso e sappi che i negozi sono a miglia e miglia di distanza…quindi ricordati sempre un carica batterie di scorta per il telefono potrebbe essere la tua salvezza (oltre alle scarpe da ginnastica, altra salvezza, perché quando arrivi fai la strafiga con i tacchi ma prima o poi il piede duole!)

Preparati ad essere sedotta ed abbandonata, il mustangaro mentre sei in viaggio ti indora la pillola dicendoti “amore tranquilla oggi passeremo la giornata insieme…si si non ti preoccupare non ti lascio sola al tavolo…al massimo alle tre partiamo che così siamo a casa presto….” mi raccomando non farti fregare, non credergli, ti troverai sola al tavolo, ti girerai e non lo vedrai più nel piazzale e lo troverai indaffarato come un umarello in procinto di guardare il cantiere ma in realtà lui sta godendo dello spettacolo di un motore rombante con le braccia conserte insieme agli altri mustangari che lì in adorazione iniziano con  la fase “ma tu cosa ci faresti?”… Alchè tu donna abbandona ogni speranza, è troppo tardi è entrato nel tunnel e alle tre non partirete mai!

Beh dai veniamo ai pregi….

I raduni sono un luogo di ritrovo, di passione, dove persone totalmente diverse si aggregano e si scambiano pezzi di vita, perché sappi che i raduni non sono solo tutto quello che ti ho detto sopra anzi, con il tempo si conoscono persone e si creano amicizie, e di volta in volta ti sentirai sempre meno sola sempre più a tuo agio e addirittura arriverai al punto in cui sarai tu a pregarlo di portarti ai raduni….

Imparerai un sacco di cose interessanti sulle auto, ad esempio saprai rispondere quando ti chiederanno di una coppia conica, di un corpo farfallato, di una barra duomi, capirai cos’è un V6 ed un V8 (non sono detersivi) e quando un uomo ti dirà la solita frase del cavolo “le donne non capiscono nulla di macchine “ tu potrai sentenziare con anche fare da stronza tirandogli fuori delle cose che nemmeno un meccanico della Ferrari si può immaginare, perché si cara moglie o amica del mustangaro sarai perfettamente istruita! E questo ti piacerà talmente tanto che ad un certo punto diventerai anche tu parte di quel gruppo di Umarelli che guardano e commentano le auto e addirittura qualche volta ci potrai proprio mettere naso.

Dopo aver acquistato la fiducia del mustangaro finalmente dopo anni mesi e giorni avrai l’onore di guidare quella che è la sua cosa più preziosa, e ti divertirai riderai e ne vorrai sempre di più!

E poi le altre donne che conosci ai raduni diventeranno amiche con cui uscirai anche durante la settimana e ogni scusa sarà buona per vedervi un compleanno un caffè un evento inventato chissene basta vedersi e raccontarsi un sacco di cose….

Ps non sempre sei in piazzali, aeroporti abbandonati e autodromi…qualche volta si va in piazze di città meravigliose e scusa ma non vuoi fare un giro culturale della città o un po’ di shopping!

Personalmente io AMO questo mondo mi ha fatto incontrare amici, conoscere luoghi, divertire, condividere pezzi di vita ed emozionare….Perché la passione , quella vera lo fa, CREA EMOZIONI!

SN-95 2000

 I This is the Masterpiece of the whole SN95 series. A true instant-collector car, coming out straightly from the genius team of John Coletti.

Presented the 2nd of November 1999 during SEMA show, The 2000 SVT Mustang Cobra R debuted as the fastest factory Mustang ever produced. Using a pickup engine, a 5.4 liter V8 Cast Iron block, Naturally aspirated, with custom alluminum heads, custom air intake manifold, SVT  Team created one of the best car they ever made. produced 385 hp @ 6250 rpm, and 385 lbs.-ft of Torque @ 4250 rpm, good for 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds, the quarter-mile in 13.2 and a 170-mph top speed. As a true,racing model, Coletti and his team removed all the “unnecessary” weight: air conditioner, gone; rear seats, gone; interior insulation, gone; stereo system, gone; stock front seats, gone. The Recaro racing seats, side-exit dual exhaust the front air splitter and the rear wing, gave to the car superb stability and handling capabilities, and a very aggressive-racing oriented, group.

Just 300 units were made, available only in Performance Red Clearcoat.

SN-95 2001

Launched the 2001 Mustang Bullitt GT after a concept version had won acclaim at the 2000 L.A. Auto Show, This car certainly pays homage to the 1968 Mustang Fastback in which Steve McQueen careened through the streets of San Francisco in the movie, Bullitt. it also serves as a reminder of the early days of Ford pony cars  Based on the 2001 Mustang GT, this car has several features that make it one of the best (and rarest) mustang of its year. The Engine, a V8 SOHC 16 valve, 4.6 liter engine, has been slightly modified with a cast-aluminum intake, twin 57-mm bore throttle body and high-flow mufflers. It is capable of 265 hp @ 5,000 RPM and 414 Nm Of thorque @ 4,000 RPM. It was available only with a 5 speed Manual Transmission.

The suspensions has been improved for a firmer, better and lowered handling( Struts, Stabilizer bar, coil springs, 4-link locating arms, coil springs, sub-frame connectors). Also the Brakes have been upgraded, with 13.0 in. vented Brembo disc, PBR twin-piston caliper (painted red), in the front, and 11.65 in. vented disc, single-piston caliper in the Rear.

Team Mustang gave Bullitt special exterior enhancements and interior touches meant to capture the spirit of the movie car. Unique wheels(17 x 8 in 5-spoke American Racing “Torque Thrust” forged aluminum

), Tires(245/45R-17 BSW Goodyear Eagle),  “Bullitt” badging and a brushed-aluminum fuel-filler door helped complete the look, with a factory serialized identification label included to verify each 2001 Bullitt as a true collectible.

This car was able to reach 0-100kmh in 5.6 seconds, and the ¼ mile in 14 seconds.

Ford Manifactured a total of 5.582 Bullitt GT (coupè only), splitted as follows:

– Dark Highland Green: 3.041

– Black: 1.819

– True Blue: 722

 

Why we consider this car as a unicorn? It is an uncommon 2001 GT, dedicated to the greatness of a legend, Steve McQueen. I will become a future collectable for sure.

Our This unicorn has been one of the toughest one so far. Informations were very very few. Called STAGE III till 2001, This car became 360R, due to the declared hp (the year after 380R). Considered the fastest production car in 2002, with a sell price around 40.000 $ (with few optionals, otherwise the price was higher), It represents one of the evolution steps of Roush special Models. Only 141 of these beauties has been manifactured in 2002, 80 in Oxford White with Blue Stripes, 61 in Red with white stripes. All of them Signed by Jack Roush Sr.

The engine a V8  SOHC  4.6 Liter Supercharged, with intercooler, is capable of 360 HP and 508 Nm of torque, available only with 5 speed Manual Transmission, and short throw shifter. The other modifications follows:

  • Roush stage 3 front fascia with high performance driving lights accented by a Speed Grill.
  • Cobra Hood.
  • Roush Billet aluminum machined pedals.
  • Roush high volume Stage 3 fuel system.
  • Roush upgraded Suspension. Upgraded Roush 4 wheel disc brakes with cross drilled rotors.
  • Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Mufflers.
  • Sub Frame Connectors.
  • Roush Cold Air Intake.
  • Mach Stereo System with 6 CD Changer.
  • Custom Roush white faced tachometer and gauge package.
  • Front and rear spoiler.
  • 360 Stripe Package

 

Why we consider this car as a unicorn?

A 2002 capable of 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds and 1/4 mile 12.3 secs, incredibly Rare. Do you Need anything Else?
