“If you can find a better car, buy it.”
Lee Iacocca, speaking about the 1964 Ford Mustang
ok, it is a 2009 and a half unicorn. But 2010 wasn’t so rich of special models.
The Father of the Ford Mustang. This is Antonio Lee Iacocca. To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the most iconic car of the planet, Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters, (a company known for building some of the most awe-inspiring concept cars for numerous auto manufacturers for more than 28 years) the designer Michael Leone and the cooperation of Galpin Motorsports, built 45 super-exclusive Silver (ok, 43 silver, 1 red and 1 black for Galpin private collection) fastback Mustang.
The car features a reworked front end including sunken headlights and a prominent fastback look with the slope of the roof reaching all the way to the rear of the car. Inside, Iacocca’s Mustang gets Diamond Design leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with “I” logos, and Iacocca-badged aluminum door sill plates. Finishing off the look of the car are 20-inch Iacocca Design wheels wrapped with Goodyear Eagle tires.
Performance enhancements come from Ford Racing parts bin, all of which retain the factory warranty and include a cold-air intake system and the Ford Racing Handling Pack with new shocks and springs. Customers can also opt for a supercharger system that boosts the 4.6-liter V8 to 400 horsepower as well as a 14-inch front brake system.
The Car was up for sale with a starting price of 89.950$. They Have ben sold in a couple of days. Why it is a unicorn? For all the above
plus because it is a tribute to the father of the best car of the planet!:-)
